2. Press and release the PTT button. When the radio is

clear to transmit, turns on, turns off and the

channel access tone sounds. Line one shows the

accompanying name selected from the list of stored

numbers. The message displays on line

two. The radio then automatically transmits the pro-

grammed number stored in the special call queue.

3. A telephone ring will be heard from the speaker.

When someone answers the phone, press the PTT

button and speak into the microphone. Release the

PTT button to listen to the callee. Unsuccessful

interconnect signalling returns the radio to the nor-

mal receive mode and the number remains displayed

until the special call is cleared or the time-out expires

or another group or system is selected. Terminate a

call by pressing the CLEAR/MONITOR button.

4. To terminate the call, momentarily press the

CLEAR/MONITOR button.

Direct Dialing of Phone Calls (System Model only)

1. If the phone number is not stored in the pre-stored

list of phone numbers, but the phone number is

*PHONE*

In half-duplex mode, only one person may talk at

a time. The radio PTT button needs to be pressed

in order to communicate to the individual called

and released for the individual called to be heard.
